A MANZ' GAME? (NFL DRAFT PROSPECT) [2014]
Questions revolved around midget Quarterback Johnny Manziel continue to surface and flood sports media streams nationwide. Remarkably the NFL may present some problems for the hard nose competitor. The Houston Texans and their arsenic fans flamed Matt Schaubs' jersey outside of Reliant Stadium last year as his McDonalds' like "Billion Served" Interception horrors totaled to 14 in 2013 enraging onlookers. They'll have the first pick in the 2014 NFL DRAFT and will more than likely have Manziel as a prime applicant for the job. Whether the AFC South will be the laughing stock of the NFL yet again remains unanswered by a tedious off-season where Manziel will have plenty of time to develop his game for the intensity of America's most watched professional sport. It's definitely money time Johnny.

MLB OPENING DAY [2014] (SEASON)
MLB opening day is only 5 days away. After a long winter, Baseball fans will be able to take the family out the park for Cracker Jack, Beer and Hot dogs. The Boston Red Sox beard gang was able to over-edge the St. Louis Cardinals in last years World Series thriller and are looking to reclaim their dominance as one of the elite clubs in the AL. Our hometown Tigers have yet to redeem themselves after being swept in the 2012 World Series. Comerica Park is anxious to see whether or not these continuous Playoff Disappointments will resurface. Besides, Prince Fielder makes enough money to buy a World Series for Detroit. Should be interesting.

UKRAINE'S NAVAL HEADQUARTERS SEIZED
Pro-Russian forces seized the Ukrainian naval headquarters in Sevastopol on Wednesday, a day after a Ukrainian soldier was shot dead, the first casualty of Russia's annexation of Crimea. After Vladimir Putin announced on Tuesday that Russia would absorb Crimea into its fold, attention now turns to the remaining Ukrainian military facilities on the peninsula.
On Wednesday morning, irregular local militia members entered the naval headquarters, which was then paid a visit by the head of Russia's Black Sea Fleet. Shortly afterwards, a number of Ukrainian soldiers walked out looking solemn, carrying their belongings in plastic bags.
A representative of the so-called self-defence units said they had carried out an operation to liberate soldiers held captive. "We wanted to set free the prisoners in the base that are being illegitimately held there by their commander," said Vladimir Melnik, who said he was the head of a local self-defence unit. He said a criminal case would be opened against the commander.
In Kiev, the Ukrainian prime minister, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who on Tuesday announced that the conflict with Russia had moved to a "military phase", said he was dispatching his deputy, Vitaly Yarema, and the acting defence minister, Ihor Tenyukh, to Crimea to "resolve the situation".

QB CAM NEWTON TO UNDERGO SURGERY
Carolina Panther Quarterback Cam Newton is set to undergo surgery on his ankle. Medical examiners proclaim that his recovery may take minimally 4 months, making his chances of participating in spring camp impossible. The Carolina Panthers are coming off an impressive 2013-2014 season finishing at the top of the NFC South with a 12-4 record. This particularly hasn't been a optimistic off-season thus far. Their concerns at the WR position have heightened since Steve Smith left to sign with the Baltimore Ravens. Without a QB to orchestrate the established system, the 2014-2015 year may be a drastic disappointment for Luke Kuechly and the dominate Defenders on the Carolina roster. Only Time will tell though.

MISSING MALAYSIAN PLANE (CONSPIRACY)
No trace of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has been found since it vanished on March 8 with 239 people aboard. Investigators are increasingly convinced it was diverted perhaps thousands of miles off course by someone with deep knowledge of the Boeing 777-200ER and commercial navigation.
Suspicions of hijacking or sabotage hardened further after it was confirmed the last radio message from the cockpit - an informal "all right, good night" - was spoken after someone had begun disabling one of the plane's automatic tracking systems.
But police and a multi-national investigation team may never know for sure what happened in the cockpit unless they find the plane, and that in itself is a daunting challenge.
Satellite data suggests the plane could be anywhere in either of two vast corridors that arc through much of Asia: one stretching north from northern Thailand to Kazakhstan, the other south from Indonesia into the Indian Ocean west of Australia.
China, which has been vocal in its impatience with Malaysian efforts to find the plane, called on its smaller neighbor to "immediately" expand and clarify the scope of the search. About two-thirds of the passengers aboard MH370 were Chinese.

ROLLING ROCKETS?
The Houston Rockets are beginning to look like a potential NBA Playoff threat entering the ladder part of the 2013-2014 season. Whether their win over the Miami Heat Tuesday night was enough to turn heads or not, they have been undoubtedly fantastic since January (Current Record 42-19). Dwight Howard has found a new home and with accompanying 3 point shooters like James Harden and Chandler Parsons to compliment his inside presence, they are a force to be reckoned with. Needless to say, the WEST is quite the competitive jungle with 10 teams currently in the Playoff contention.
The Clippers have signed both Danny Granger (who has yet to play) and Glen Davis. These additions will more than likely be pivotal, not just for NBA2k but for the defensive minded head coach Doc Rivers. The Clippers Have also been on a terror since the return of Superstar Guard Chris Paul (Current Record 42-20). It will be interesting to see how their season turns out after a dissapointing first round exit in last years NBA Playoffs to the now struggling Memphis Grizzlies.
