JOSH GORDON SUSPENSION UPHEALD

The Cleveland Browns gave their final farewells to WR Josh Gordon after league administration concluded their decision to suspend Gordon for the 2014-15 NFL Season. Gordon failed to pass drug screenings and had a run in with the law twice this off-season including a DWI in which caused the league to make this decision. Gordon led the entire NFL in receiving yards last season and was hoping to make a return for dominance. The 23 year old will have to wait an entire season before he is given another opportunity. Maybe he'll come back with a better haircut. Until then Brian Hoyer and Manziel will have to improvise. Literally.

DETROIT STREETS FLOODED (RECORD SETTING RAINFALL)

The wake from cars, not boats, sprayed skyward like rooster tails and sent rolling waves over sidewalks in Detroit and throughout southeastern Detroit Monday.Water came up to the bottom of parked cars, and over the top of curbs along Lumpkin in Hamtramck, as vehicles precariously tried to part the road-sea on the way to their destinations.Further south, state trooper completely blocked Interstate 75 south about 7 p.m. due to standing water that was causing traffic problems. State police are asking motorists to stay off the roads unless it's an emergency.

ANY DALTON (BENGALS) 6/YR $115M EXTENSION

Andy Dalton has inked himself with a brand new lucrative compensation. After a great year with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2013 Dalton will be looking to take his game to the next level as did Joe Flacco. It is an extreme blessing to be able  to play football and make a substantial income while doing such. Regardless of what many critics may say, Hugh Jackson and Bengals staff believe in Andy and his ability to lead the Bengals to a potential super bowl. For the next 6 years Andy will be given the opportunity to showcase his talents and prove that he is one of the elite QB's in the National Football League. Time will tell.

NFL SEASON [2013-2014]

As the 2014-2015 NFL season approaches we will be watching to see which team will emerge as an elite and go on to inked their franchise in Super Bowl history. I will make a prediction for the Baltimore ravens to re-establish themselves at the top of the AFC North and cement a home game for themselves this upcoming post-season. In the NFC, expect the Chicago Bears to do much damage. If Cutler remains healthy I believe they can plunge their way into the NFC Championship this year possibly ending the season with the 3rd Overall seed in the conference. Expect Johnny Manziel to taste NFL turf a lot this year. Sorry Browns fans, I know you got LeBron back now but I just do not believe this guy is ready for the pros. Nevertheless football fans worldwide will be glued to their couches to watch some NFL football this fall/winter and it should be a dandy.

MARSHAWN LYNCH RETURNS TO CAMP

Lynch reported to Seattle despite the fact that he won't be getting a new contract from the team. However, the Seahawks will "add some financial concessions to the contract,"according to ESPN.com.

Those concessions include a higher base salary for Lynch this year, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Under his prior deal, Beast Mode was scheduled to make a $5 million base salary in 2014 and then would have been able to tack on another $1 million in the form of a $500,000 roster bonus and a $500,000 bonus for hitting the 1,500-yard mark.
However, under the new deal, Lynch will just get $6 million guaranteed. The Seahawks are also taking $500,000 of his 2015 bonus and giving it to him in 2014. Lynch can make up to $7.5 million in 2015, but he'll count $9 million against the salary uncap, so it's no sure thing that Seattle would hold on to him next season.

As part of the new deal, Lynch also won't have to pay any fines for missing camp. Beast Mode missed a total of eight days of training camp and would have potentially been subject to over $500,000 in fines.

The team was allowed to fine Lynch $30,000 a day for the first six days, after that, Lynch was subject to fines of $60,000 a day. The team would also be allowed to fine Lynch 15 percent of his prorated signing bonus after six days of missing camp. The sixth day of Lynch's holdout came on Tuesday, which could have possibly meant another $225,000 in fines.
