REDEMPTION ROAD : THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (WEEK 8)

As the AFC East continues to be one of the more interesting divisions in the NFL in the 2015 regular season, fans and analyst must delight in tonight's Thursday Night Football match-up. Gillette Stadium in Foxboro Massachusetts is the site for a Week 8 Thursday night showdown between the Miami Dolphins (3-3) and the New England Patriots (6-0). There is much anticipation regarding this game and for the edification and enjoyment of NFL fans, we're here to give you a pre-game analysis to tell you why. Kickoff for the game is 8:25 p.m. E.T and will be exclusively broadcasted on CBS and the NFL Network.

The Miami Dolphins disappointed fans and NFL analyst with their 1-3 start to the 2015 regular season. Thank god that the Dolphins have begun to gain tread as they enter tonight against arguably the best team in the league. The 44 to 26 blowout the Dolphins handed the Houston Texans in Week 7 conveyed that their two game winning streak is more than just a hardy victory but a slow process called redemption. Against Houston, QB Ryan Tannehill went 18-19 on passing attempts and produced four touchdowns. The Dolphins rushing attack has been led by HB Lamar Miller who on only 14 rushing attempts went for 175 yards last week. Did we mention the Dolphins Defense? 19 million dollars seemed excessive for off-season signee DT Ndamukong Suh over the first few games of the season but with Miami giving up just 13 points per game in their last two match-ups, it is safe to say that the good investment is paying off. Tonight in order for Miami to get the upset, they'll need to alleviate an already suspect New England rushing attack and bring the heat by blitzing QB Tom Brady. If Miami can force some three and outs and run the ball successfully, they may be the talk of the town entering into Week 9.

(Oct. 24, 2015 - Source: Jim Rogash/Getty Images North America)

The New England Patriots escaped defeat in Week 7. Their opponent the New York Jets added a loss to their season record while New England gracefully got the win despite producing only 1 rushing yard. The formula for Patriots success is simple, get the ball out quick in the passing game and torture defenses with their monster tight end/wide receiver Rob Gronkowski. Surely the Patriots must be hyped about the primetime opportunity to remind viewers why they are one of the most winning teams the NFL has to offer and why a repeat appearance or victory in the Super Bowl is not farfetched for them this season. New England matches up against a potent Dolphins defense tonight. How they plan to attack Miami is a mystery that head coach Bill Belichick doesn't mind providing the suspense for.

DURANT RETURNS - NBA ON ESPN

It's been nearly four months since the nets have gone swish on the NBA hardwood but that's all over now. The NBA returned last night with several match-ups and the well-renowned NBA on TNT. Last season NBA MVP Stephen Curry and his Golden State Warriors walked away with NBA Finals honors. They picked up right where they left off by defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 111 - 95 last night. PG Curry gave NBA fans and Oracle Arena a incredible showing.  Curry had 40 points and 7 assists and sat nearly the entire fourth quarter as the Warriors seemed to outmatch New Orleans just as they did in the first round of last years post-season. The Warriors NBA Finals (2014) opponent; Lebron James and the Cavaliers visited the United Center last night without Kyrie Irving. The Cavs suffered a 95-97 lost  against the Bulls to start their season. Cleveland will be looking to return to the success they had been last year and are glad to have forward Kevin Love back in the lineup.

Enough about last night. Tonight the Thunder and Spurs will take it to the hardwood on ESPN at 8:00 p.m E.T. The long anticipated return of Oklahoma forward Kevin Durant has finally arrived. Durant's lingering foot injury had him sidelined for nearly three fourths of last season. In his absence, Thunder Guard Russell Westbrook did everything he could to keep the Thunder a contender in the Western Conference. Though OKC was unable to reach the playoff's, Westbrook's MVP like performance last season definitely has me predicting a Western Conference Finals berth of OKC in 2015. With role players like Kanter, Ibaka, Singler and Morrow, stopping the Thunder offense might be the slightest of task for the upcoming season. At the Chesapeake Arena where the fans will be livid, expect a incredible showing from the Thunder.

Oklahoma City's opponent tonight, the San Antonio Spurs, lost to the Clippers in a first round match-up of last years playoffs. In the off-season, the Spurs acquired superstar forward LaMarcus Aldridge from the Portland Trail Blazers. In mastermind Head Coach Greg Popovich traditional offense, it'll be interesting to see how quickly LaMarcus can integrate into such a efficient scoring scheme. Averaging nearly 25 points per game last season, Aldridge will enjoy being accompanied by a plethora of veterans like Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili that will help sharpen his offensive and defensive skills. Aldrigde wants to win and his decision to join one of the NBA's most winning franchises is a clear reflection of this desire. Tune in tonight to see how he fairs in the first game of the season.

BATTLE OF THE BIRDS : MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (WEEK 7)

To finish out week 7 of the 2015 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens (1-5) will visit the NFC West top seeded Arizona Cardinals (4-2) in tonights Monday Night Football match-up. As usually, ESPN will be your broadcast host of tonight's game which should be a close one. Though these two teams seem to be on opposite ends of the seesaw and always competitive NFL league compels me to believe that this game might be just as exciting as the match-ups that took place yesterday. We've given a little pre-game analysis below to get you ready for Monday night in the NFL.

(Oct. 17, 2015 - Source: Gregory Shamus/Getty Images North America)

The Arizona Cardinals marched all over the Detroit Lions in Week 5. Despite this, their 42-17 victory over Detroit put no fear into the Pittsburgh Steelers who defeated the Cardinals with third string QB Landry Jones by the score of 25-13 in Week 6. Talk about a bizarre chain of events. Still there is no reason to count a 4-2 Cardinals team out of contention just yet. They for many reasons can consider themselves the best team in the league. They rank 2nd in the league in scoring and while they have produced 25 touchdowns on the season, they have in turn given up only 11. Tonight look for the Cardinals to drive hard on a Baltimore Ravens secondary that has been having an awful year. QB Carson Palmer must be licking his chops at a Ravens defense that continues to give up big plays in the passing game. Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians will utilize a vertical pass game to chunk the Ravens defense early and later in the game, run stretch plays with RB Chris Johnson to close it out. I don't see the Ravens defense stopping a offense of this potency. They haven't done so all year.

(Oct. 17, 2015 - Source: Ezra Shaw/Getty Images North America)

The Ravens have lost 5 out of six of their season match-ups. Though no team has completely dominated Baltimore, the Ravens are just not doing enough to get it done late in games. Whether a QB Joe Flacco crucial interception, a HB Justin Forsett fumble or a blown coverage on the back end of the defense, the Ravens have found a way to come out on the losing end. Tonight the motivational factor will simply be their pride. This has never been the type of franchise to just lay down so being taken lightly will place a heaviness on the consciousness of each and every player in their locker room. If the Ravens are to have success, they'll need to jump out to an early lead by shredding the Cardinals with a quality passing game. In a dwindling 2015 season, Baltimore must care for their dignity in the primetime lights of Monday Night Football.

WEEKEND REPORT NFL (WEEK 7)

It's Monday morning ladies and gentlemen. Another weekend of NFL football is in the books and some of your favorite teams were able to improve their season records while others took a step back adding another tally to the loss column. Within this article let's take the time to honor some of the teams that made statements in Week 7 of the NFL and what it means as we enter into the latter part of the season.

(Oct. 24, 2015 - Source: Gregory Shamus/Getty Images North America)

Minnesota Vikings 28 - 19 Detroit Lions
Final (Week 6)

The Minnesota Vikings visited Ford Field and defeated the Detroit Lions. A 14-6 first quarter league had Lions fans believing that the morale of Detroit may have returned to its 2014 season potency after the (1-5) 2015 season start. Unfortunately though, the Lions now sit at 1-7 on the season and their chances of making a return to the postseason this year has vanished. The Vikings on the other hand improved to 4-2 and sit just two games behind the undefeated Green Bay Packers in the NFC North. The emergence of WR Stefon Diggs adds to their already multi faceted offense. Diggs produced a jaw-dropping catch in the third quarter to give Minnesota their first league of the game. The play sucked the life out of Ford Field, while the Vikings defense produced seven sacks and sucked the life out of the Lions offense. Minnesota ranks 2nd in PPG allowed this season which speaks volumes to the face they allowed Detroit only allowed Detroit 5 points after quarter one. The Vikings move on to face the Bears next week in Chicago. They are definitely a team to watch.

Philadelphia Eagles 16 - 27 Carolina Panthers
Final (Week 6)

Philadelphia took 1st place in the NFC East earlier this week by defeating the New York Giants on Monday Night Football in one of the ugliest games this NFL season has offered. That positioning didn't last very long though. The Eagles were met by the Carolina Panthers stingy defense last night at Bank of America Stadium and suffered a 27-16 loss. Though QB Cam Newton tossed three interceptions, the Panthers defense allowed just one touchdown the whole game. Certainly this isn't how Eagles head coach  Chip Kelly would like things but history has showed that against the more physical teams in the NFC the Eagles don't fair well. While the NFC East causes even more confusion in the media, the Carolina Panthers advance to 6-0, remain undefeated and prepare to face a struggling Indianapolis Colts team next weekend. With the Panthers playing the way they have, there isn't reason why they shouldn't believe in a lengthy playoff run this season.

Jacksonville Jaguars 34 - 31 Buffalo Bills
Final (Week 6)

The Bills and Jaguars flew overseas to London and faced off in a battle that came down to the very end. Jacksonville's 34-31 victory over Buffalo was flat out resilient. They overcame a 31-27 deficit with 5:21 to go in the game. A crucial pass interference penalty gave Jacksonville a first down on the last drive of the game. QB Blake Bortles finished off the Bills defense with a TD pass to WR Allen Hurns.  The win pushes the Jags to 2-5 while the Bills suffer their second straight loss. The absence of starting QB Tyrod Taylor has caused unrest in the Bills offense. Back up QB E.J Manuel was cause of three of the four Buffalo turnovers in yesterdays game. With the Indianapolis Colts continuous underachievement, the AFC South is still a division that is up for grabs. The Bills enter their bye week on the other hand having fallen to last place in the AFC East.

Houston Texans 26 - 44 Miami Dolphins
Final (Week 6)

(Oct. 24, 2015 - Source: Jim Rogash/Getty Images North America)

New York Jets 23 - 30 New England Patriots
Final (Week 6)

Don't look now but the Miami Dolphins are 3-3 and face off against the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football in Week 8. Miami pummeled the Houston Texans 44-26 yesterday and have looked absolutely rejuvenated after escorting former head coach Joe Philbin out of the organization two weeks ago. The Patriots improved their unblemished 6-0 record by defeating the New York Jets 23-30 (who have been nothing less than brilliant this year). The Patriots victory came with a horrid 1 yards rushing on the day. Their leading rusher, QB Tom Brady also threw for two touchdowns on a day where New England got it done the rugged way. I'm very interested to see how things pan out when the Dolphins and Patriots meet up this week. the AFC East may be shaping up to become to divisional story of the league in 2015.

DEJA VU : THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (WEEK 7)

The NFC West has looked quite competitive this season. Though the Arizona Cardinals were in full stride, they suffered a road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend. Pittsburgh installed third string QB Landry Jones into arguably the most prolific offense in the league to drop the Cardinals to 4-2. This is good news of course for both the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. They both sit at an undesirable 2-4 going into Week 7 and will match-up tonight for Thursday Night Football. The game will be held at Levi Stadium where they will be meeting for the 1st of two 2015 regular season match-ups. While both of these teams continue to search for their true identity, NFL fans will enjoy this hostile rivalry at 8:25 p.m. E.T on CBS. Before kickoff of course, we're here to give as usual our pre-game run down.

(Oct. 17, 2015 - Source: Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images North America)

The San Francisco 49ers seemed a bit too pompous about defeating the struggling Baltimore Ravens (1-5) in Week 6. The Niners 20-25 victory over Baltimore was led by a supposedly rejuvenated QB Colin Kaepernick. Colin went 16-27 on pass attempts producing 340 yards and two touchdowns. His 128.2 QB rating last week certainly deserves  acclaim but tonight against the Seahawks who are more than pumped after being bashed in the media this week, I wouldn't count on it being a Colin fest. Of course we know about Kaepernick's struggle against the Cardinals a few weeks ago and that's the reason I won't give him credit for shredding a Ravens defense that was annihilated by Raiders QB Derek Carr, Bengals QB Andy Dalton and every other starting QB in the league this year. Even with Seattle struggling how they have,  I still don't like the 49ers chances in this game.

(Oct. 17, 2015 - Source: Otto Greule Jr/Getty Images North America)

Two consecutive 4th quarter collapses has a should be 4-2 Seattle team sitting at 2-4. There is no gimmes in this league and NFL analyst Mike Mayock said it best, "there are no fruits" to be given to this years Seahawks team. What Seattle needs to do is prove themselves worthy of being called the best team in the NFC. Only ignorance would make one think they aren't capable of competing. Three of there four loses have come against undefeated teams (Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers & Cincinnati Bengals). Busted coverages and clashing ego's seem to be a vice in the Seattle secondary. A unseemly RB Marshawn Lynch returned against a Carolina Panthers defense that is no walk in the park and produced 54 yards rushing on 17 attempts. Seattle needs to run the ball and get their defense some rest. I'm confident that the young Legion of boom will redeem themselves tonight. I predict an Seahawks victory (23-14) tonight.

I THINK I CAM : PANTHERS REMAIN UNDEFEATED

Carolina lost star wide receiver WR Kelvin Benjamin in the pre-season and entered the 2015 regular season with apparent loopholes and blemish. Well, the NFC South 1st place standing Panthers view their 5-0 start knowing that it speaks volumes to their ability to overcome adversary. The unity amongst this team in unprecedented. It all starts with the head coach in Ron Rivera. His optimistic mentality has clear impact on both his defensive leader in LB Luke Kuechly and his offensive leader QB Cam Newton. As we enter into Week 7 of the NFL this upcoming weekend, let's take a look at both the statistical and spiritual developments in the promising career of Carolina's head signal caller QB Cam Newton.

(Oct. 17, 2015 - Source: Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images North America)

In a league were an elite QB is as vital as health insurance, QB Cam Newton has with lowliness embraced his role with the Panthers. Newton inked a 5 year 103.8 million dollar contract during the off-season and has since not produced a single loss. While critics like to analyze what Cam lacks at the quarterback position like uncanny accuracy and a high completion percentage, Newton's ability to lead by example is second to none. Sure we know about his signature superman touchdown celebration and media friendly million dollar smile in the press conference, but his Week 6 game winning drive against a Seahawks team that hadn't allowed an offensive touchdown in their last two home games deserves a hats off ovation. It's all about maturation. That maturation has Newton's touchdown percentage sitting at 5.1%, a 1.1% increase from a year prior. His 83.2 passer rating for the 2015 season may not compare to that of Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers, but his 45 yards per game rushing adds a dimension in the Carolina offense that opposing defenses could not possibly prepare for in just five days.  Going into Week 7 where Carolina will face the Philadelphia Eagles (3-3), the enthusiasm of Panthers fans must be equivalent to the doubt of the average NFL cornerback faced with the task of tackling the 245 lbs Newton in the open field. Regardless of what critics have to say about Carolina, Newton has multiple reasons why I think I Cam.

UNMANAGEABLE EAST - MNF (WEEK 6)

Who is the best team in the NFC East? With calamities causing a sink to a Dallas Cowboys Playoffs hope, the Giants and Eagles have emerged as the favorites within the division. In Week 6 of the NFL, both clubs go toe to toe in their first match-up of the season. The winner of the game will take first place in the NFC East. Want the pre-game run down? We have your Monday Night Football pre-game analysis right here.

Philadelphia walked all over the New Orleans Saints last weekend at Lincoln Financial Field. As they look to produce a sequel in Week 6, Philadelphia media is wondering has head coach Chip Kelly finally gotten in his zone? A Eagles defense that forced three turnovers last week comes into Week 6 pumped and prepared for the Giants offensive tandem of HB Shane Vareen and WR Odell Backham Jr. It's not easy to identify with who the Eagles are. The balance of physicality brought by HB De'Marco Murray, meshed with the finesse of HB Darren Sproles and WR Josh Huff has Philadelphia looking like a reckoning force out in the NFC. With a 2-3 start to the 2015 Regular Season behind them now, they come into tonight optimistic about their chances of winning the division. The 39 point outing they had in Week 6 has Eagles fans anticipating tonights primetime match-up. With brotherly love, the Eagles are looking to earn NFC East honors for the first time since 2013.

(Oct. 10, 2015 - Source: Alex Goodlett/Getty Images North America)

(Oct. 3, 2015 - Source: Brett Carlsen/Getty Images North America)

Three straight wins for the New York Giants, has a 0-2 start to 2015 fleeing fast from the conscious of players on the NFC East's best team. Besides WR Odell Beckham Jr.'s hair, it's safe to say that the Giants have flew under the radar. They finished off the San Francisco 49ers with a winning touchdown drive in the fourth quarter of Sunday Night Football but have yet to hit the headlines as one of the more dangerous teams in the NFC. They are top ten in the league in points and pass yards, producing impressive performances in Buffalo in Week 4 and Washington in Week 3. There is a head scratcher in the midst of all this madness though. Not a single NFC East team  has a winning percentage above .500 against division opponents. Well whether the division is the prettiest or not, certainly the Giants take pride in knowing they won two Super Bowl's in the last decade with the same quarterback that they currently have under center : Eli Manning. The Giants want the NFC East honors just as much as their opponents tonight. In order to get it they'll need a solid offensive output against a division rival.

FLIPSIDE : MARQUEE MATCH-UPS (WEEK 6)

It's Week 6 in the NFL and we are here again to give you a little insight on which games to look forward to this Sunday afternoon. Week 6 kicked off with the New Orleans Saints getting a pivotal divisional win over the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night and this weekend features a few more games that are sure to hit the headlines once final scores materialize. We love this game and so do you, so here it is ; the Marquee Match-ups of Week 6 (2015 NFL season).

Carolina Panthers @ Seattle Seahawks 4:05 p.m. E.T FOX

The Carolina Panthers (4-0) return to action this week against the Seattle Seahawks today. QB Cam Newton is more than ready for the challenge, he comes into today having produced 7 TD's and 2 INT'S in four starts this season. Though Carolina lost HB D'angelo Williams in the off-season and entered 2015 with the media surmising that their offense would be unsuccessful, they have done what is most important in this league; win games. Their opponent Seattle Seahawks (2-3) have definitely had a tough time getting it going this year. They have yet to win a single road game and somehow they allowed a 24-7 lead to vanish against the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth quarter last week. This was likely do to the absence of RB Marshawn Lynch who plays a key factor in milking the clock and wearing on defenses late in games. Lynch is expected to return today and therefore makes a Week 6 win at Century Link Field highly probable for Seattle. Expect a very defensive match-up that may end in dramatic fashion.

(Oct. 10, 2015 - Source: Jamie Squire/Getty Images North America)

Kansas City Chiefs @ Minnesota Vikings 1:00 p.m. E.T on CBS

Minnesota comes into Week 6 after a bye week. Well rested and ready, they welcome the Kansas City (1-4) Chiefs to town for battle. The Vikings fell to 2-2 in Week 4 on a 4th down play in which the leagues best Broncos defense forced QB Teddy Bridgewater to fumble with under a minute to go in the game. Bridgewater strolled off the field with a humble smile knowing confidently that his maturation is still in development. Against a struggling Chiefs team, expect the Vikings to blitz QB Alex Smith and force some crucial interceptions. A Vikings defense that has allowed only 8 touchdowns this season won't have to worry about HB Jamaal Charles today as he suffered a torn ACL in his right knee and will not return this season. A 1-4 season record means this Chiefs team has fallen into last place in the AFC West and chances on redeeming their slow start is fading fast. I expect a Minnesota victory in this one, scoreboard 24-14.

LUCKY CHARMS : PATRIOTS @ COLTS (WEEK 6)

When the 2015 NFL regular season schedule was produced in the offseason, NFL analyst knew that the Colts and Patriots Week 6 meeting would be a match-up of two of the better AFC teams in the league. Not only is this a rematch of the AFC Championship, but it is also a grand opportunity for the Indianapolis Colts to prove who they are against one of the better teams in the league. In last years' regular season (November 9th 2014), the Patriots thrashed the Colts on Sunday Night Football 42-20. It therefore is not a evil surmising to say that the unmerciful New England Patriots will likely smash Indianapolis again this weekend. Again though, the reason these teams are scheduled to meet on the field nullifies any prediction an NFL analyst/writer like myself can produce.

(Oct. 7, 2015 - Source: Ronald Martinez/Getty Images North America)

What do the Indianapolis Colts bring to the table in Week 6? A 3-2 record which is a result of a three game winning streak that began in Tennessee in Week 3, a banged up starting Quarterback (Andrew Luck) and a unseemly defense that allowed even Texans QB Brian Hoyer two touchdown passes on Thursday Night last week. Against the mighty New England Patriots (4-0), the Colts need to have a successful rushing attack to get a victory this week. They did show some resilience against Houston last week with contributions from WR Andre Johnson (6 receptions, 77 yards and 2 TD's) and RB Frank Gore (22 rushes, 98 yards and a TD) but simply put 27 points may not be a enough against the Patriots. It would therefore be in the best interest of Indianapolis to keep QB Tom Brady and the New England offense on the sideline. While we await the final verdict on whether QB Andrew Luck will play or not, the Colts might want to study some Week 2 footage on how the Bills offense mustered up a whopping 32 points on Mr. Belichick's defense. In the Primetime lights, Indianapolis will be front and center stage against arguably the best team in the AFC.

(Oct. 10, 2015 - Source: Christian Petersen/Getty Images North America)

The New England Patriots have started this season with the momentum they built from last years' Super Bowl championship. For many reasons (like QB Aaron Rodgers 2 interceptions last weekend) the New England Patriots are ranked 1st place on many NFL power rankings list.  Nevertheless, In a AFC Conference that currently has three undefeated teams, the Patriots may be up against a test this year. In their competitive AFC East division alone sits a 3-1 New York Jets team (with a great defense) that they have yet to face and a 3-2 Buffalo Bills team that were at their necks in Week 2. Looking to advance to 5-0, expect the Patriots to go into Lucas Oil Stadium with a bit of a chip on their shoulders. TE Rob Gronkowski of course always plays the game as such and with nobody on the Colts defense capable of guarding him I'm expecting it to be a long night for the Colts.

SAINT OF HEART : THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (NFL WEEK 6)

The NFC South is a interesting specimen in the NFL this season because it has the only division with two undefeated teams. Surprisingly, it is one the best divisions the NFL has offered this year (along with the NFC North & AFC East). Tonight, long time rivals match-up in a Thursday Night Football slugfest. The New Orleans Saints will host the Atlanta Falcons at the Mercedes Superdome to see who's who in Week 6 of the NFL. While it might be rather easy to make a practical prediction (as I will here), there is a reason these games get played on the field and not just on paper. Below let's make some pre-game analysis to get you ready for tonight.

(Oct. 10, 2015 - Source: Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images North America)

Atlanta struggled against a stout Washington defense Sunday afternoon but still had enough heart to get a Week 6 victory by the score of 25-19. The Falcons who sit 1st in the NFC South with a 5-0 record have fans and NFL analyst sincerely wondering are they Super Bowl bound. As I always like to evaluate, the quality of Atlanta's opponents over five weeks haven't been of much prestige. Four out of five of the opponents the Falcons contended against this season are teams with losing records. While a formula for defeating a steady Atlanta Falcons team is yet to be discovered in 2015, here are a few things we do know. QB Matt Ryan cannot afford to give Saints QB Drew Brees the same opportunities that were granted to QB Kirk Cousins. Ryan threw two interceptions, and had a fumble Sunday afternoon. A Redskins fourth quarter field goal may have been a fourth quarter lead forfeiting touchdown for the Saints.  Nevertheless, tonight may be a game which allows the Falcons offense to get back on track against a New Orleans defense that allowed the Philadelphia Eagles 39 points in Week 5.

(Oct. 10, 2015 - Source: Rich Schultz/Getty Images North America)

(Oct. 10, 2015 - Source: Rich Schultz/Getty Images North America)

Terrible. That's a word to describe New Orleans visit to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia this weekend. Their 39-17 loss had Saints head coach Sean Payton and Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan scratching their heads. Who are the Saints? Right now they're one of the worst teams the NFL has to offer. It is therefore folly to predict them winning against an undefeated Falcons team. Surely QB Brees will be looking to redeem his performance in Week 6 in which he had two fumbles and a interception. On a short week, QB Drew Brees and the Saints will be looking to give New Orleans fans something to cheer about in the primetime lights.

OPEN PITT - STEELERS REMAIN CONFIDENT (NFL WEEK 6)

Miracles do happen in this league depending on what you classify as such. While some might call a seeming "upset" miraculous, others glory in the humility of knowing they did one of the most difficult things in the world : win a NFL game! Hats off to the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) who avoided going down three games in the AFC North division to the Cincinnati Bengals (5-0). The misfortunate San Diego Chargers (2-3) failed to improve their season record in a heartbreaking Monday night loss 24-20 and now are tied for 2nd in AFC West with the Oakland Raiders. The Steelers haven't played but one division opponent this season so far and believe firmly that they still have a solid chance of catching the Bengals before the 2015 regular season expires. Heading into Week 6, the Steelers will face an Arizona Cardinals (4-1) team that has no intentions of slowing down their race to the top of the NFC.

(Oct. 11, 2015 - Source: Donald Miralle/Getty Images North America)

A 3-1 Pittsburgh start in 2015 was likely until the calamity of losing star QB Ben Rothlisberger emerged. NFL Reporters are saying that Ben has now returned to the practice field and has participated with limitations. While Ben recovers from his MCL injury, the Steelers will need to rest and recover from their physical victory in San Diego Monday Night. Steelers fans are hoping that a 4-2 season record will be obtained by the end of Sunday night. At Heinz field Sunday afternoon, terrible towels will wave in spirals while Pittsburgh makes a continuous push to save their 2015 season.

WIN IN DOUBT : MARQUEE MATCH-UPS (WEEK 5)

Almost 1/3 of the 2015 NFL Season has expired. As things began to materialize for the 32 teams in the league, scrutiny from fans and NFL analyst will intensify putting more pressure on NFL teams to get the job done and in an satisfactory way might I add. Going into Week 5, currently 9 of the NFL 32 teams have winning percentages above .500 with the Detroit Lions being the only team that remains winless. While the Colts sit blissfully at the top of the AFC South after their victory over the Texans on Thursday night, other teams are prepared for this upcoming weekend, were they'll be battle tested. After reviewing the Week 5 schedule, we found some undeniable eye-popping match-ups that NFL fans should definitely tune into. Take a look below.

Seattle Seahawks @ Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 p.m. E.T FOX

The question still remains, is Cincinnati the real deal? I'd say no. Though they have won all four of their season games, they've done it against opponents with a combined record of 6-10. Sunday, they welcome the defending NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks to town. The Seahawks will be without RB Marshawn Lynch who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3. The absence of Lynch has undoubtedly caused much struggle to the Seattle offense. On the other end, Bengals QB Andy Dalton has thrown for 1,187 yards, 9 TD's and has a QB rating of 123.7 this season. I will make the bold prediction that he'll have under 250 yards passing in this weekend's game. The Seahawks did not allow an offensive TD in their last two games and will bring the physicality needed to keep the Bengals offense at bay. Without Lynch in the lineup though, look for the Bengals defense to force a few interceptions and ignite the Cincinnati crowd. Even with the odds stacked against Seattle, their desire to regain position in the NFC West may cause the Bengals to suffer their first loss of the season.

St. Louis Rams @ Green Bay Packers 1:00 p.m. E.T CBS

The St. Louis Rams left Arizona feeling pretty good about defeating a division rival Cardinals team that sat at 3-0 for the season before Week 4. This week they'll deal with another undefeated team in the Green Bay Packers. Well, more importantly they'll get to meet Packers QB Aaron Rodgers up close and personal and get to see just how dynamic he is. Want to know what the Rams can do to get this win (besides pray)? Run the ball. Unlike the stubborn Kansas City Chiefs who sought to duel Alex Smith with Rodgers, the Rams will attempt to get rookie RB Todd Gurley involved in a steady running attack to keep the Packers offense on the sideline. Last week against a stellar Cardinals defense, Gurley ran for 155 yards on 25 attempts with a 6.2 yards average per carry. Now claiming that the Packers defense is better than Arizona's is rather absurd, but what the Packers can do on offense (like establish a lead) will make their defense a lot more effective during Sunday's match-up. The edge though is this ; the Rams still have something to prove. Rather or not this day at Lambeau Field is one in which St. Louis makes a statement is worth the eyes of each and every NFL fan worldwide. Be sure to tune in.

TEXANS TOAST? : THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (WEEK 5)

The AFC South division has through four weeks of NFL football produced not a single team above .500. Just as the NFC East, none of the four teams within the division seem to have a clear advantage. The Indianapolis Colts entered the 2015 season believing they would march all over the division considering the way they have played over the last few seasons, but their unimpressive 2-2 start which was aided by a missed Jacksonville field goal in overtime this weekend has critics wondering if the Colts will ever develop into the powerhouse they were expected to be before the season. Tonight, the Indianapolis Colts will visit NRG Stadium to take on the Houston Texans in Week 5 of Thursday Night Football. Below, I've laid out an analysis, bare with me now.

(Oct. 3, 2015 - Source: Andy Lyons/Getty Images North America)

Colts QB Andrew Luck missed Week 4 with a nagging shoulder injury but is expected to play in tonight's match-up. Not only in regards to his absence but the Luck had seemingly ran out for Indianapolis in Week 4 until Jacksonville Jaguars rookie kicker Jason Myers missed a game winning field goal that would have put the Colts at 1-3 with the rest of the division. Though they escaped and were able to add a win to their season record, certainly the league has big questions for the way Indianapolis is performing thus far. At 2-2, their combine opponent records are 6-9, meaning that they haven't played the better of teams in the league like perhaps the Seahawks or Ravens. The acquisition of HB Frank Gore has produced them just 4.2 yards per attempt and  QB Luck's 7 interceptions aren't to write home about. Nevertheless QB Andrew Luck is sure that he can turn it around going forward. He will of course need a horrid Colts rushing game to improve. Tonight look for the Colts to be met with a high intensity Texans team who alike have many unmet expectations thus far in 2015.

Even after getting blasted by the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, there's still no reason not to have faith in the Houston Texans. Though their season record sits at 1-3, they still have a chance to win the AFC South division. If they are to defeat the Colts tonight, they'll be tied for first place in the division going into a well needed nine day rest before they come back in Week 6. The quarterback situation is clearly a mess down in Houston, but offensive coordinator Rick Dennison believes QB Ryan Mallett's lack of success is due to his inability to be patient. Mallett has thrown an interception in each of the three games he's gotten the start this season, and has a 65.3 passer rating. The disgust was written all over DE J.J. Watt's face in the fourth quarter against Atlanta. Don't expect the Texans to come out uncompetitive tonight on their home field with the entire world watching. Be prepared for Houston to redefine themselves with the running game in a low scoring defensive showdown.

LIONS IN THE SEA? - MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL (WEEK 4)

Monday Night Football kicks off tonight with two NFC teams looking to redefine themselves. The Detroit Lions (0-3) will visit Century Link Field to face the Seattle Seahawks (1-2) in a pivotal game that could tilt the morale of both contenders. On a partly cloudy night in Seattle a few things are likely to take place and we're here to tell you what those things are and exactly how we think this game will turn out.

(Sept. 26, 2015 - Source: Steve Dykes/Getty Images North America)

The Seahawks got their first win of 2015 in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears. The victory was fueled by the return of superstar safety Kam Chancellor  who helped pitch a defensive shutout 26-0. In addition to the return of Chancellor, the well renowned 12th man crowd also had its effect on a Bears offense that was without QB Jay Cutler. TE Jimmy Graham finally made his contribution to the Seahawks offense grabbing 7 receptions for 83 yards and a TD. Tonight Graham will be aiming for the same type of production against a Lions defense that looks despaired. Though the Hawks will be without "Beast Mode" Marshawn Lynch and will have to summon a quality passing attack from QB Russell Wilson, it would be quite heinous to doubt Seattle's likeliness of coming out victorious at home. Look for the Seahawks to dominate the special teams game and time of possession statistic to come out on top in what should be a low scoring game.

(Sept. 19, 2015 - Source: Adam Bettcher/Getty Images North America)

Though the Lions won't have to deal with RB Marshawn Lynch, they'll still have to find a way to get a first down. Yes, Detroit needs not to be reminded that they have converted 13/35 on third downs this season and have produced all of nothing in the running game. To add insult to injury, RB Joique Bell is ruled out for tonight game but more importantly, LB DeAndre Levy won't be accompanying the Lions defense either out there tonight. Well, at least offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi can use his passing mastermind to draw up schemes to gash the Seahawks defense, hopefully. It's hard to pick the Lions in a game of this magnitude but I'm sure they relish the opportunity to prove the entire sports world wrong in primetime lights tonight.  If not they'll head home to Detroit 0-4, four games behind their division rival Green Bay Packers.

NO PRISONERS : WEEK 4 MRQUEE MATCH-UPS

Week 4 of the NFL regular season began Thursday night as the Ravens escaped Pittsburgh with a 23-20 victory. The game, which took an extra quarter to finalize, set the tone for a few hard hitting contest set to take place this afternoon. A few games in particular are looking like potential marquee match-ups. Not because these particular games feature the best teams in the league, but because these teams in the following match-ups we've selected can make bold statements and top headlines by getting victories this weekend. Take a look below at the games we feel you should be extra tuned into this afternoon.

Houston Texans @ Atlanta Falcons 1:00 p.m. E.T on CBS

The Texans will face an NFC South opponent for the third week in a row today as they go up against the Atlanta Falcons. The undefeated jaw busting Atlanta Falcons pack a powerhouse offense led by WR Julio Jones and QB Matt Ryan. Atlanta has averaged 411 total yards per game (305 of those through the air) in 2015 and sent Cowboys fans heading for the exit at AT&T Stadium last week when they outscored the Cowboys 22-0 in the second have to top off their 39-28 victory. This week the Houston Texans will be looking to put a halt in the Falcons offensive onslaught.  The Texans have allowed just 20.0 ppg over three weeks putting them towards the top of the league in defense (as we predicted prior to the season). What Houston does well is run the ball with RB Alfred Blue who tally 100+ yards last week in the Texans win over the Bucs (19-9). They'll need to keep QB Matt Ryan on the sideline out of commission if they hope to seal a victory today and push their season record to .500. This is a hard one to call, but I would not be surprised to see the Texans get the win. Especially if they get RB Arian Foster back this afternoon.

Minnesota Vikings @ Denver Broncos 4:25 p.m. E.T on CBS

Sports Authority Stadium at Mile High and the Denver Broncos welcome in the Minnesota Vikings this afternoon. The 3-0 Broncos will face a Vikings defense who have given up just 6 touchdowns this year. Ironically, the Broncos defense have given up just 6 as well. With that being said, this game will come down to two key things; who can run the ball more effectively and which defense will fatigue out faster as the game gets down the stretch. Seeing that the Minnesota Vikings bring to town 2013 season MVP HB Adrian Peterson and a lot of youth on the defensive side of the ball, I like their chances in this game. Easily, this is the match-up of the day and a clear sleeper game for unawares. Expect a chippy field day filled with sacks, interceptions and field goals. I'll go with the the Vikings here with a +5 point advantage. Of course though, Broncos QB Peyton Manning may have plans of his own.

OTHER NOTABLE MATCH-UPS

Detroit Lions @ Seattle Seahawks MON 8:25 p.m. E.T on ESPN
  • Will likely be the second straight season win for Seattle as they look to climb out of an 0-2 start in 2015
  • This is an opportunity for the Seahawks to show on National TV why they are still a force to be reckoned with.
  • Detroit is looking for their first win of the season (0-3). They'll be w/o LB DeAndre Levy and RB Joique Bell
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts 1:00 p.m. E.T on CBS
  • Colts wil be without star QB Andrew Luck.
  • Jacksonville could snap a 4+ game losing streak to the Colts with victory
  • Colts 1-2 start makes room for the Texans to gain ground.

WE'RE BETTER THAN YOU : NFL POWER RANKINGS WEEK 4

THE BIRTH LLC has decided to do our first ever NFL Power Rankings in Week 4 of 2015. Though we aren't flawless in our predictions (no one is of course), our NFL expertise allows us to give a quality outlook of which teams are at the top of the league over the first few weeks of the season. Take a look below at how we've drawn things up thus far.

(Sept. 27, 2015 - Source: Joe Robbins/Getty Images North America)

1. Green Bay Packers - Undoubtedly the Packers have looked like the best team the NFL currently has to offer. QB Aaron Rodgers may be headed to his second career MVP award and potential Super Bowl championship in 2015. Long season to go of course.

(Sept. 26, 2015 - Source: Maddie Meyer/Getty Images North America)

2. New England Patriots - The defending Super Bowl champions haven't missed a beat in 2015. With a 3-0 start there isn't any reason the Patriots shouldn't be consider one of the leagues best teams.

(Sept. 19, 2015 - Source: Brett Carlsen/Getty Images North America)

3. Buffalo Bills - Surprised? Not us. We reviewed the Bills roster in the off-season and considered them a sleeper coming into 2015. With new head coach Rex Ryan installed, confidence is a soaring truth in the Bills locker room.

(Sept. 26, 2015 - Source: Doug Pensinger/Getty Images North America)

4. Denver Broncos - Though this team is aged and we don't predict them going far in the playoffs, they have a stout defense that can win them the AFC West. Especially if the Chiefs surrender wins to them like they did in Week 2.

(Sept. 10, 2011 - Source: Jeff Gross/Getty Images North America)

5. Minnesota Vikings - We rated Minnesota as a sleeper going into 2015. This team is incredibly underrated. Once  QB Teddy Bridgewater gets on a role, get used to seeing the Vikings in the win column on Sunday afternoons.

(Sept. 26, 2015 - Source: Norm Hall/Getty Images North America)

6. Arizona Cardinals - The Cardinals defense is no joke. If they can keep QB Carson Palmer healthy and this type of momentum going into December, they may be able to get a first round bye in the postseason.

(Sept. 26, 2015 - Source: Steve Dykes/Getty Images North America)

7. Seattle Seahawks - Though 1-2, the Seahawks are likely to turn it up towards the end of the season. With the return of Safety Kam Chancellor, Seattle will be NFC Championship contenders for the third consecutive year.

(Sept. 26, 2015 - Source: Ronald Martinez/Getty Images North America)

8. Atlanta Falcons - The Falcons offense is something to be reckoned with this season. Though critics believe their 3-0 start to be a bluff, their undefeated standing warrants them a top ten power ranking.

(Sept. 26, 2015 - Source: Grant Halverson/Getty Images North America)

9. Carolina Panthers - There isn't a team on this list that QB Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers fear. A few heroic flips have gotten them off to a 3-0 start. One has to wonder though, will wear and tear catch up with them as the season progresses?

(Sept. 26, 2015 - Source: Rob Carr/Getty Images North America)

10. Cincinnati Bengals - They will and have for four consecutive seasons be one of the best teams in the league. But until they win in the postseason, their regular season splendor only rewards them a honorable mention on our list.
