The rivals reunite this weekend in Seatlle as the San Francisco 49ers come to town to battle the Seahawks. These NFC West teams split their regualr season series, and the amnimousity has only built throughout the year between these two.
Colin Kaepernick has thrust into the elite Quarterback bracket with his post-season play thus far. His gallops down-field on key 3rd downs only frustrated the Carolina Defense in the Divisional round as their emotions distracted them from the real objective at hand : "winning the game." Jim Harbaugh has been dealing with the strife of coming just one play short of the Limbardi trophy last February.
But really who has it better than the Seattle Seahawks at home? Absolutely no one. Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch will run the ball from South Beach Miami, all the way to the state of Washington, into the city of Seattle and across the plain of the oppositions End Zone of Century Link field anyday. All he needs is one lead blocker. The stingy Seahawks Defense allows for no shoot-out and in the Red-Zone they put the lock on the door.
Will Russell Wilsons cool render to be a disguised oblivion? Maybe if the goal of Head Coach Pete Caroll and offensive Coordinator Darell Bevell were to run and gun there'd be more eye-popping statistics on Wilsons' resume this season. But unlike the Carolina Panthers the Seahawks are playing to win not for the theatrics.
Should be a close one.
