FINE AS WINE - NFL VIOLATIONS (WEEK 9)

Week 9 in the NFL featured a few questionable plays but two in particular caught the eyes of league officiation and well-renowned NFL officiating vice president Dean Blandino. Most of us who watched were offended by what we saw, others were exposed to just how vile and malicious some players in the league can be. Not to mention, the newly exposed photographs from Cowboys DE Greg Hardy domestic violence case that is soon to receive much scrutiny. As the NFL seeks to remain integral, be assured that these particular incidents will come with a direct consequence.

Dirty hit on Teddy Bridgewater VIDEO HERE : http://tinyurl.com/ormrh6u

Rams DB Lamarcus Joyner took what in my opinion a dirty shot at the skull of Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater. The shot caused Bridgewater to lay unconsciously on the field for several seconds until Vikings staff helped him walk off by the grace of God. After examination, Teddy was ruled out of the game with a concussion. The long term effects of concussions are very serious and thus this is why the league has been cracking down on the play and activity that causes them, including "hits to the head," "hits on a defenseless receiver," "unnecessary roughing" and more. Joyner has stated that the play was accidental and that he had no intentions of hurting the Vikings second year QB but the footage justifies the idea that to play was indeed malicious.

Aqib Talib malicious eye poke VIDEO HERE : http://tinyurl.com/q95epgq

The Denver Broncos suffered their first loss of the season to the Indianapolis Colts Sunday afternoon. The unlikely defeat definitely caused the Broncos some frustration. In the latter minutes of the game, Broncos DB Aqib Talib took his hand and violently pokeed the right eye of Colts TE David Allen. The "unsportsmanlike conduct" had nothing to do with the game and therefore will cause the Broncos shutdown corner to miss a next weeks action. Against a well rested Kansas City team in Week 10 the Broncos will definitely miss Talib. Unlike the Minnesota/St. Louis incident, Talib's action is not even close to justifiable and thus he'll have to face the awaited consequences.
