EAGLES ARE NOT DUCKS

Chip Kelly took over as the Philadelphia Eagles head coach in 2013. In his first year as head coach he led the organization to a NFC East division title with a record of 10-6. Kelly brought his up tempo orientated no huddle offense into the NFL successfully orchestrating a combination of play action passes, option runs, quick screens and fade routes. In 2013, the offense totaled 6,676 yards (2,566 of those were rushing). In 2014, the Eagles were devastated when all-pro Quarterback Nick Foles fractured his collar-bone in Week 9. The season ending injury, contributed to the Eagles late season crumble. They went on to lose 3 out of their last 4 games of the season a rather bitter but justifiable outcome. The offensive attack, manned by interception king Mark Sanchez caused the Eagles turnover ratio to go from +12 in 2013 to -8 in 2014. Offensive rushing yards declined with a total of 1,992 a 564 yard backslide from the year prior.

Yesterday around noon day, reports flooded media with the news that all-pro HB LeSean McCoy was traded to the Buffalo Bills for LB Kiko Alonso. Though reprove was the popular scrutiny in NFL media, the Philadelphia coaching personnel revolved now around head coach Chip Kelly see a promising future for the third-year LB out of Oregon. LeSean McCoy will arrive in Buffalo with the Kool-Aid smile of a toddler. Buffalo's recent hire of morale building head coach Rex Ryan give NFL analyst very optimistic views on the Bills success in the upcoming 2015 season. Kiko Alonso rendered not a single stat in 2014 missing the entire season with a nagging knee injury. Alonso though was impressive in his rookie season. Contrarily, with his him rendering 4 interceptions and 87 single tackles in the 2013 season, maybe the intuitive nature of the Eagles coaching staff  is something near sighted critics are failing to see.

Though just a rumor, Nick Foles may be headed to the Houston Texans in exchange for WR Andre Johnson.  Another rumor, Chip Kelly's desire to acquire rookie prospect Mike Mariota from the Oregon Ducks runs quite cohesive with the implications of this trade rumor. It isn't really difficult to discern the agenda here:  get as many ducks as you can that way the Eagles will fly away. This has become quite a scrutiny for NFL analyst. Is Chip Kelly attempting to reshape the entire Philadelphia Eagles roster with Oregon Ducks of his delight? If the installment of the up-tempo offense worked with Foles and McCoy why is there such a quick abandon on the potential of their growth? These questions will be answered not by the quack of the duck but by the long-lived soar of the eagle.
