I'M TAKING MY TACKLES TO SOUTH BEACH

When free agency begins tomorrow, All-Pro DT Ndamukong Suh will sign with the Miami Dolphins. The contact totals $114 million with a guarantee of $60 million. Media reports indicate that the Lions decision not the tag Suh enticed him to test the market. Though analyst believe the Detroit Lions to be obnoxious, the tag would have cost the organization nearly 27 million dollars this upcoming season. The Lions attempted to accommodate Ndamukong Suh in the most expedient matter possible. They cut HB Reggie Bush to free up cap space but found it depriving to expend a chunk of the payroll funding on Suh. Miami was willing to offer Suh six million more in annual salary which throughout the duration of his six year contract amounts to $19 million, making him the highest paid defensive player in the NFL.

The Detroit Lions finished last season with a rather traditional lost to the Dallas Cowboys in a Wild Card thriller. Emotionally devastated, Suh burst into tears during the post-game press conference. For credible reason, including numerous of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and fines Ndamukong was seen as insensitive. The incident of his sorrow was a display that may have altered the perception regarding his professionalism and dedication to the sport. Suh may be looking to further his career and prove that he is the most dominate defensive tackle in the NFL.

Suh registered 8.5 sacks and 53 tackles last season. He'll head to Miami to play alongside all-pro defensive end Cameron Wake who registered 11.5 sacks of his own in 2014. The tandem the Dolphins now possess at the defensive line may help push them into the post-season as a playoff contender in 2015. A secondary led by corner back Brent Grimes and former Lion Louis Delmas may make this AFC East organization quite disruptive on the defensive side of the ball. The Dolphins believe that acquiring Suh will optimize their potential and push  them over the hump of mediocrity.
