MAVS ON A TRAIL

The Portland Trail Blazers defend home court tonight as the Dallas Mavericks are scheduled for a visit to the Mode Center for a contest that will began at 10:30 p.m. E.T. The Trail Blazers come in on a 4 game winning streak after outlasting the Los Angeles Clippers last night in a controversial overtime thriller. Though the Blazers effort was not the highlight of the contest, their prestige as a playoff contender has been well established. Blazer's guard Damian Lillard plays the game with force. Averaging 21.3 points per game he at any time can morph into the microwave. When the Trail Blazers are at their best, Lillard is dishing dimes to All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge who's averaging a worthy 23.4 points a contest as well. This tandem is highly accredited for the current 3rd seeding the Trail Blazers hold in the NBA western conference projected playoff picture.

The Dallas Mavericks come in with a record of  (40-22). With a plethora of newly acquired, Dallas has collectively progressed throughout the duration of the regular season. Their roster is filled with pro-ready dependable players who have worked diligently to re-establish the Dallas Mavericks as an elite out in the Western Conference. Monta Ellis leads the team in scoring at 19.4 points a game. He'll be looking to dazzle through the Portland defense for a few high percentage baseline jumpers. Currently, the Mavs sit 6th in the Western Conference standings and are looking to ignite a late season streak that can gain them home court advantage during the first round(s) of the 2015 NBA playoffs.

When NBA fans access the western conference, they realize the tension of upholding a playoff spot among so many contenders. Any 2 to 3 losing skid could jeopardize playoff positioning causing a 3rd seed to become the 6th, a 4th to become the 7th or the worst the 8th to become non-qualified. Tonight's game will be critical as both clubs hold vital the ability to defeat conference opponents. The outcome will depend heavily on whether Trail Blazers Guard Wesley Matthews can put a clamp on Monta Ellis. Stay up late for this one and enjoy this western conference shoot-out. THE BIRTH LLC Supports the NBA.
