NHL fans the stage has been set for yet another Stanley Cup Finals that should be quite a dandy. The Chicago Black Hawks will face off against the Tampa Bay Lightning in a best of seven series to see who can take NHL best bragging rights home for the entire 2015 off-season. Both teams dealt with tough opponents in the Conference Finals round. True adversity was in place for both clubs as their Game 7 series wins were do or die situations they both were able to prevail in. Their next test, the biggest of the all, will be to clash with one another for all the marbles in the center stage event known as the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.
Most would assume that the Chicago Black Hawks and their battle tested team will destroy the Tampa bay Lightning in just six games and repeat a Stanley Cup Championship season identical to their 2012-13 showing. Whether or not that type of series will manifest is something time shall reveal to us all. None the less, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane turned it up a notch during the Western Conference Finals against a quality defensive Anaheim Ducks team. The Black Hawks defeated the Ducks 5-3 in Game 7, stunning the Anaheim home crowd and bringing morale to their championship ready roster. Tampa Bay did likewise though, defeating the New York Rangers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals 2-0 on the road at Madison Square Garden where they were under high pressure. While both teams have shown resilience, it's hard to say who will get the upper hand in this series. Ignorance would disregard the effective offensive attack of the Black Hawks who were able to get goals on one the leagues best in Frederik Andersen last round but contrarily, the Lightning did just the same by finessing the New York Rangers to overcome and advance to the Finals. The series will simply come down to who has more breakaway opportunities in these contest. If Tyler Johnson is to get free on the Black Hawks defense too often, the Black Hawks might find themselves in untimely deficits that pour over into the Lightning's favor.
