The Golden State Warriors have only played 16 out of a possible 21 games this NBA post-season. Not only have they ended series relatively quick, they have been aided by opponent injuries in each of their match-ups. In round 2 their opponent the Grizzlies were inhibited by an eye injury to starting guard Mike Conley who after his return in Game 2 was still not his complete self. In the Western Conference Finals, Golden State matched up against the Houston Rockets who were without defensive specialist guard Patrick Beverly who suffered a wrist injury in the regular season that ended his involvement. Now, the league MVP in Stephen Curry will yet again be defended by a back-up guard in the NBA Finals. Steve Kerr said with compassion that he hopes Irving will return this series but surely he'll enjoy the luxury of not having to deal with an opponent having that type of offensive fire power as he looks to take his rookie coaching year all the way to a NBA Championship. Oh how the Warriors crowd will be on Sunday night when their home team is given the opportunity to take a 2-0 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

JUST WHAT WE KNEE'D
In Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Cavs guard Kyrie Irving aggravated his left knee yet again. After an MRI yesterday, doctors are now reporting that Irving suffered a left knee cap fracturing and will miss the remainder off the NBA Playoffs. Irving will undergo surgery in the next couple of days. NBA analyst understood Kyrie's presence for Cleveland at the guard position would be critical against the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. Now Cleveland will be forced to push back-up Matthew Dellavedova into the starting lineup. Dellavedova will inherit the responsibility of guarding NBA MVP guard Stephen Curry who scored 26 points in Game 1. One would hate to write the Cavs off so early but if forward LeBron James scoring 44 points and gaurd Kyrie scoring 20 plus couldn't get them the win in Game 1, it's hard to imagine the Cavs winning without Irving. Luckily, they'll still have the opportunity to prove the world wrong as they are only 4 wins away from being crowned 2015 NBA Champions. Game 2 is Sunday at 8:00 p.m. E.T on ABC at Oracle Arena.
