NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2014

Duke massacred the Michigan Sate Spartans this weekend 61 to 81. Coach K will make his 8th National Championship appearance tonight against the Wisconsin Badgers live from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The championship will tip off at 9:18 p.m. E.T on  CBS. Commentary will be brought to you by Jim Nantz & Kurt Kellogg, the extraordinary voices you hear behind the most epic of college basketball games. Expect this one to be yet another classic ; two historically successful programs, two successful head coaches and team rosters stacked with potential NBA All-Stars. Lean not unto your own understanding, this is not just another college game, this is for all the marbles.

Wisconsin upset the highly favored Kentucky Wildcats Saturday night. Few believed it to be possible but the badgers had faith all along. The collaborative effort of C Frank Kaminsky and  F Sam Dekker showed true against the #1 team in the Nation. Dekker had 16 of the Badgers 71 team points, including a huge three-point basket to give Wisconsin a three point lead in the last minute of the semifinals. The Naismith trophy winner Frank Kamisky contributed 20 points to lead the team, nailing two critical free throws at the very end of the game to put it out of reach for the Wildcats. The exuberant Badgers were able to destroy the miraculous journey of undefeated Wildcats nonetheless but they will need great preparation for a Duke team just as hungry as them.

Duke is led by sensational 19 year old C Jahlil Okafor who rendered 18 points and 6 rebounds against Michigan State in the Blue Devils semifinals victory. He was aided by F Justise Winslow who through a few tenacious jams and layups, produced 19 points and 9 rebounds. There's not a need to under-estimate the ACC champions. They defeated Wisconsin earlier this year 80 -70 and will be looking to do so again tonight on CBS. This hardwood battle will  be predicated on Duke's ability to limit second chance points and transitional buckets. The Badgers will have to limit their turnovers if they want to stand a chance themselves. Before the night is over, one team will claim what is rightfully there's : the honor of being the NCAA Men's Basketball Champions. Review the 2015 NCAA Basketball tournament bracket at this link.
