CAUGHT OFF GUARD - NBA PLAYOFFS [2015]

For some odd reason, there has been a sad streak of injuries among the point-guard position for many of the remaining 2015 NBA Playoffs teams. Monday night the Clippers were without Chris Paul who is questionable for tonight's Game 2 match-up with the Houston Rockets. Los Angeles currently leads the series 1-0. The Rockets are also without their defensive general Patrick Beverly who suffered a season ending left wrist injury during the regular season. Last night, guard Mike Conley was able to make his return for the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies defeated  the Golden State Warriors by a score of 97-90 and were led by Conley's 22 points and 0 turnovers. The Washington Wizards were without their front-runner as well last night. Wizards guard John Wall hurt his wrist in Game 1 of their series against the Atlanta Hawks. In Walls's absence ,the Hawks were able to dominate throughout  Game 2 and produce a series tying win by a score of 90-106. NBA fans would of course appreciate it if these key participants can remain healthy when they return to full strength. It would be rather dissatisfying for the outcome of these pivotal Playoffs series to be dependent on the absence of superstar players. Either way, teams are staffed with 12 man rosters and will need to make adjustments for their shortcomings which have come off-guard.
