The Chicago Blackhawks put the Minnesota Wild out of their misery last night at the Xcel Energy Center. The Blackhawks closed out the series with a 4-3 victory, sending a statement to the remaining Stanley Cup Playoffs contenders that they are again on the hunt for that NHL title. The BlackHawks will face either the Washington Capitals or New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference finals. The Montreal Canadiens avoided elimination last night by defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2. Tampa Bay leads the series 3-1 and will be looking to close things out Saturday night in Game 5. The Anaheim Ducks were recompensed for the slaughter they've issued the Calgary Flames over the first two games of the series. Finally, the Flames won Game 3 by a score of 4-3 and can now exhale because the possibility of a sweep has faded away. They'll be looking to even things up in Game 4 tonight.
