PERHAPS NOT - #1 SEEDS REGAIN SERIES LEADS
Tonight the 2015 NBA Playoffs continue with a double-header on ESPN. The #1 seeds from both the NBA Eastern and Western Conferences look to close out their opponents and advance to the conference finals. Both the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors once trailed to their semifinals adversaries 2-1 but have both bounced back to take 3-2 series leads. Golden State began their redemption Monday night in Game 4 at the FedEx Forum, when they torched the Memphis Grizzlies defense 101-84. They then followed up in Game 5 at Oracle Arena defeating the Tony Allen deprived Grizzlies by a score of 98-78. Over the two game streak, the Warriors have held the Grizz to under 30% shooting from three-point range. This statistical alongside an improved field goal percentage is particularly why things have turned for the better out in Oakland, CA. The Hawks on the other hand, were slighted for their Game 4 victory because the Wizards were without guard John Wall for the third consecutive contest. Impressively, they silenced the critics in Game 5 by overcoming a 7 point deficit in the fourth quarter to take the 3-2 lead in the series. What Atlanta & Golden State brought into their Game 4-5 victories that they hadn't before was persistence and execution. Tonight NBA fans will see if they can carry the momentum they've built into Game 6 wins and a NBA conference finals berth for their teams.
