Certainly the Memphis Grizzlies would love to have point-guard Mike Conley Jr. back for Game 2 tonight against the Golden State Warriors. Conley underwent eye-surgery last week and continues his slow recovery. as the Grizzlies suffer without him for the time being. Grizzlies head coach David Joeger reports that Conley will be a game time decision for Game 2 tonight but most know that this likely doubtful. Nevertheless, The show must go on and unfortunately the star of this show does not play for the Grizzlies. Curry of course, with Conley not present has had his way with the Grizzlies on the perimeter. His 22 point output in Game 1 led the Warriors to a 86-101 victory and 1 game lead in the series. It would be rather condescending of the Warriors to pretend that the absence of Conley does not play a significant role in their opponent success, but at the same time they cannot throw a pity party for their opponents shortcomings.
Tonight at 10:30 p.m. E.T on TNT these teams will take it to the court for part 2 of their best of 7 western conference playoffs semifinals round series. The stage is set for one of these teams to forward their campaigns as 2015 NBA title contenders.
